The Deuces Wild came violently out of hyperspace way to earlier. The hypredrive coils shorted out. The closest system was K873, a mining base in the systems asteroid belt was within reach of your current fuel load. You have credits left to repair the ship once docked at Sherp's mining base. Looking for a job, any job that would pay you took the Base's Ops Managers offer. He promised enough credits to get the Deuces Wild repaired, if you all survive. Better the risk of death than another cycle sitting in the canteen of the mining base.
